Manifesta 10 TV is an education project for young specialists who are planning to work as cultural journalists. The project was developed by the European Biennial of Contemporary Art MANIFESTA 10 in partnership with the St. Petersburg State University of Film and Television.
Professors of the University as well as professional journalists from leading TV channels will give lectures and workshops to the students. From June until October 60 lectures, 50 practical classes and 30 workshops have been planned.
There will be a competitive selection of participants for each of the 6 courses. In total, 36 young journalists will be chosen to take part in the project.
In the framework of a 3-week course, students will gain new knowledge which they will then use for the production of the TV report. As a school of journalism - Manifesta 10 TV provides participants with the general skills needed for modern journalists and gives them an idea of the stages behind the working process. As a practical result of the education project, students will produce their own TV reports, which will be thematically connected with the Biennial.
You can find the students’ reports on the official MANIFESTA 10 TV YouTube channel and also watch them at the Education Space in the General Staff building.
