Feldmann is an artist who collects, re-assembles, and exhibits all manner of objects, from everyday items to artworks by others; he has made many artist books and installations, among other things. Many of his works deal with society, sexuality, and the media. At Manifesta, his Medici Venus builds upon the iconic Antique sculpture, which has been replicated many times throughout history, including at the Russian tsars' Peterhof palace. In Feldmann's version, she is in color: flesh tone, blonde, blue, gray, and more, pretending to be real and jolting the reverence usually reserved for both Antiquities and their modern copies.
